The Tapestry Accidents & Medication feature allows you to record accident reports and medication administration digitally, reducing paperwork and keeping everything in one secure place.
Accidents & Medication can be enabled as part of the full Care Diary, or as a standalone feature for settings that don’t need the full suite.
It’s available on the app, as well as the browser version of Tapestry.

Record accidents and incidents quickly
Accidents can be logged with full details including what happened, any first aid given, and a Body Map if needed. As well as standard accident forms for within the setting, you can also record accidents that happened at home. Similarly with Incidents, event details can be added to help build a picture of what happened.
You can share and collect a digital signatures via Tapestry or obtain a physical signature in person. This means all the key safeguarding and welfare records your setting needs are in one place.
Manage medication records with ease
Tapestry’s medication records are designed to cover everything your setting needs to administer medication safely and keep an auditable log. For each child, you can record:
- Medication details — name, strength, and form (e.g. liquid, tablet, inhaler)
- Administration information — dose, unit, frequency, and time(s) to be given
- Treatment dates — start and end dates, plus expiry date of the medication
- Reason for administering and any known side effects
- Method of administration — including any specific instructions for how it should be given
Staff can then log each time medication is administered, building a clear and accurate record. Medication entries can also be exported in bulk alongside accident records for your own compliance and record keeping.
