Tailor Tapestry to your provision
Organise your posts the way you want
Flags on Tapestry are sets of words or phrases you can use to categorise your observations and reflections; think of them like labels in a filing cabinet! Simply select the flag or flags you want to assign to the post when you’re making it, then use the Flags tab to monitor those flagged posts.
Before adding your own, you might want to take a look at our pre-made Flag sets on your account.
Using the EYFS?
Do you want to use the EYFS framework on Tapestry? All you need to do is enable the EYFS flag set on your account. The flags can then be used across observations and reflections which feed through to the Thoroughness and Areas of Concern monitoring screens.
Create your own
We’ve added flags that our education team would have found useful in their classrooms, but you can create your own bespoke flag sets to help you categorise and find the type of posts you’re interested in. These might relate to specific topics, specific areas of your school or setting, or individual goals.
They’re easy to make and edit using our bespoke flags interface, and completely flexible.
Build in your own time
If you begin creating a bespoke flag set but need to finish creating it at another time, you can save your progress as a draft. This allows you to return to it at a later time when it’s more convenient, without losing any of the information you’ve already entered.
Drafts give you the flexibility to build your custom flag sets at your own pace, ensuring they’re exactly how you want them before publishing.
Need to add more detail?
If you need to add more information to your to bespoke flags, consider adding them as a bespoke framework instead.
Bespoke Frameworks on Tapestry allow you to add details such as statements within an area and scales for fine tuning your assessments.
Take a look at our Bespoke Framework feature page to find out more about how this feature might benefit you.
