Your frameworks, your way
Customise your account
Tapestry comes with a number of assessment frameworks pre-added and available to anyone with an account. However, if you have created your own framework, you can also choose to upload this.
Adding your own framework gives you greater flexibility to tailor assessment to your setting’s unique needs—whether that’s supporting your SEND provision, developing curriculum goals, or monitoring smaller projects.
With Bespoke Frameworks, you can capture learning and monitor progress in a way that truly reflects your approach and supports the children in your care.
Create your file
To upload your framework, you’ll need to have it saved as a CSV file. Don’t worry, we’ve written this guide to help ensure your file is formatted correctly before you upload it.
Monitor progress
To support your monitoring, the Bespoke Framework Summative Assessment screen lets you view existing assessments and any related observations recorded for each child during a selected period.
After reviewing the evidence, you can adjust any assessments that don’t quite reflect the child’s development, or add new ones if there are gaps you’d like to address.
Tapestry also includes Thoroughness screens, which show how often each part of your framework has been assessed over a specific time frame.Â
Understanding Bespoke Frameworks

Save draft frameworks
If you need to make changes or step away before finishing your uploaded framework, simply save it as a draft to return to later.

How do they work?
Each bespoke framework is comprised of three elements: details, components, and a scale. These elements form your main structure.

Make adjustments
If you've uploaded your framework already and need to make changes, take a look at this tutorial on how to edit your framework.

Disabling a framework
If you no longer need a framework you've added, you can choose to disable it or remove it from your account.
