Use Tapestry’s Booking system to organise the days and times children attend your setting, check how close you are to capacity at any point, and plan for staffing. The bookings you add to Tapestry will also be used to generate your registers and invoices.

The Setup Wizard 🪄
Never used the Nursery Management System before?
When you first go to the Management System in Tapestry, you’ll be presented with the setup wizard. This will guide you through the steps to get started!
The Management System may take a little time to set up, but once it’s in place, it can make a big difference. Don’t worry—we have resources on hand to guide you through each step!
The Config Menu ⚙️
As part of the configuration, you can set your opening hours and any closures. You can also create custom rooms for children to be booked into, each with its own staff ratio and maximum child capacity figures.
Tailor session times to your requirements and use these when booking your children in, or amend them for specific children as and when you need.
If you are using our Management System at your setting for the first time, the setup wizard will take you through the required steps before you can get started.
Once you are all set up, you will see the options below in your Config menu.

The Dashboard
You can set up a ‘Regular Schedule’ for each child, by choosing from the sessions that you have created in your configuration.
This schedule will feature on a child’s dashboard, alongside any extra bookings and absences you have recorded.
This dashboard also allows you to view an individual child’s invoices and transactions, as well as any scheduled room moves.
Getting the information you need
Tapestry has a number of exports that you can utilise
Booking Export
This export will show you all of your bookings that fall within the date range of your choice. You can generate this export for a specific child's bookings or for all children.
Child Absence Export
This export will show you children's absences within a chosen month or within a custom date range. You can run this export for all children, children within a specific room, or a single child.
