Transforming learning throughout Key Stage 1 and 2
Solutions to fit your school
Designed to enable a flexible approach to child-centred assessment that adapts to the unique needs of every school, classroom and child, Tapestry provides a seamless record of children’s progress from EYFS to Year 6.
With the choice to use the National Curriculum framework or upload your own bespoke framework, you can use Tapestry in a way that suits the needs of your school.Â
Add your curriculum
If you have created your own curriculum for your school, bespoke for your school, you can upload this to use alongside the KS1/2 frameworks or in place of them on your Tapestry account through our Bespoke Framework feature.
Setting up Key Stage 1 and 2 on Tapestry
If you wish to follow the National Curriculum standards on Tapestry, you can choose to customise your Key Stage tiers to match your whole-school approach.
Set up each child with a Maintained Achievement Point to support your pupil progress tracking and use the frameworks to identify gaps in coverage to inform your planning.
Take a look at how to enable and use the Key Stage 1 and 2 frameworks on your account.
Engage children in their learning
Enabling children to log in to their own Tapestry accounts as they become active participants in their own learning can have a powerful impact on their engagement and development.
They can view and respond to observations, explore assigned activities, and even create their own posts at school and at home.Â
Monitor pupil progress
To support schools using the Key Stage 1 and 2 frameworks on Tapestry we created a range of tracking screens allowing class teachers and SLT to monitor the attainment and progress of individual children and whole classes, as well as identify gaps in learning.Â
Take a look below to see the different screens we have available.Â
Further tracking screens

Attainment screen
This screen will show the difference between a child's tier score in a specific term, and their MAP score. This is a good indicator of whether the children are on track or not.

Achievement screen
Compare children’s current tier score to their 5 most recent ones and to their MAP to track whether they are working at where you expected them to be throughout the year.

Absence screen
Record children's absences on Tapestry and track them through the Absence screen to show the impact missing a lesson can have on children's learning and development.

Coverage screen
Use the Coverage screen to see how many statements have been selected per child or group, and the percentage of statements taught for a particular child.
