Connecting parent and child data directly to Tapestry
Alongside the MIS integration via Wonde, we’ve also introduced a new Account Management area, giving managers more control over subscriptions without needing to contact Customer Service. Keep your MIS and Tapestry in sync
MIS Integration connects your Tapestry account with your school’s Management Information System (MIS), such as Arbor, Bromcom, or SIMS.
Once set up, children and parent/carer details are securely synced into Tapestry, helping you keep records accurate without needing to manually update information in multiple places.
This reduces admin time for your team and ensures your data stays consistent across systems.
Automatically keep your data up to date
MIS Integration is designed to reduce the need for manual data entry and ongoing maintenance. Once enabled, you can:
- Import children’s details directly from your MIS
- Import parent/carer information and link them to the correct children
- Keep records up to date automatically, as changes made to imported children and parent/carers in your MIS sync straight to Tapestry
- Avoid duplicate data entry across systems
All updates flow into Tapestry, so you can focus on using the data rather than managing it.

Getting started with MIS integration
The MIS integration is optional, and needs to be enabled before it can be used.
Once purchased, you’ll connect your MIS to Tapestry via Wonde and complete a short setup process to begin syncing data. MIS Integration only needs to be set up once per Tapestry account.
Please note:
- As this is an integration (rather than a built-in Tapestry feature), there is a small annual fee of £60 + VAT to enable and maintain the secure connection.
- It is set up per Tapestry account. If you manage multiple accounts, you’ll need to complete the setup for each one.
Managing your data
After setup, your data will continue to sync automatically between your MIS and Tapestry.
If you need to make changes to child or parent/carer details, these should be updated directly in your MIS. Wonde will then sync these updates automatically (typically overnight).
What information is synced?
The Wonde MIS integration allows key profile information to sync directly with Tapestry, including:
- Children’s details (such as name, date of birth, and address)
- Parent/carer details (such as name, email address, and phone number)
- Relationships between children and their parents/carers
- Additional child profile data where available (e.g. SEN status)

How much does the Wonde integration cost?
Because the integration is powered by Wonde rather than being a built-in Tapestry feature, there is a small annual fee of £60 + VAT. This covers the secure connection and ongoing syncing of your children’s and parent/carer data.
My setting/school has multiple separate Tapestry accounts – do I need to pay for each one?
If you have multiple Tapestry accounts for your setting or school, you’ll only need to pay for the integration once. Please contact Customer Service to get this set up.
I’m part of a Multi Academy Trust – do we need to pay for each account?
Yes. The integration must be purchased for each individual school using Tapestry. For example, if a trust has five schools, each school will need its own integration.
How do I manage child and parent/carer data if details change?
Any updates to child or parent/carer information should be made directly in your MIS. We will automatically sync these changes through Wonde, typically overnight, so your data stays up to date without any additional action.
Will Tapestry automatically sync a new child from my MIS?
No – you will need to run a new import each time a new child is added to your MIS. This process only takes a few minutes, and can be done part-way through a term.
Tapestry and Wonde will only automatically sync details for existing child records.
How do I manage child and parent/carer data if they leave?
Status changes, such as deactivations or deletions, must be managed directly within Tapestry rather than your MIS.
This is to ensure you can retain access to important historical and safeguarding records (such as accident reports and registers). If a child or parent/carer were removed via your MIS and automatically deleted in Tapestry, you could lose the ability to export this data. Managing these changes in Tapestry helps preserve that information.
Will connecting to Wonde overwrite the current data within Tapestry?
No observation, assessment, or any other kind of post data will be overridden. If you import a child or relative who already has a profile on Tapestry then the details will change to match the MIS. E.g. if you didn’t have a child marked as Pupil Premium on Tapestry but you do on your MIS, once the child has been imported, their profile will update to include PP.
What time does the data from the MIS sync to Tapestry?
Update syncs will happen overnight (UK time), but the exact time will depend on where in the queue your school is. The syncs will start around 7pm.
Can I remove Wonde from my Tapestry account if we no longer use it?
It’s not possible to remove Wonde from your Tapestry account directly, but our Customer Support team can do this on your behalf. You can contact them at customer.service@eyfs.info.
