This tutorial will show you how to enable biometrics on the app – which will replace your PIN login – if it wasn’t enabled when the app was originally set up. If you are setting up the app for the first time please refer to the tutorial here.

To enable login biometrics, you will need to be using a device with in-built biometric capabilities, most commonly fingerprint or facial recognition.

Enabling login biometrics

To start, select the menu top left then select Account Settings at the foot of the menu.

Once you reach the Account Settings screen, under the Account heading, you will see an option titled FaceID (the title of this option may vary depending on your device and its biometric capability). Coloured text next to this option will state whether login biometrics are currently enabled or disabled. To enable login biometrics, tap here.

Then switch the toggle so face/fingerprint ID is enabled.

Your device’s biometric feature will then launch. Following this quick verification, you will be returned to the Account Settings page, and a small banner at the top of the screen will confirm that biometrics have been enabled.

You can now see that Face ID is enabled.
