In this tutorial, we’re going to cover how you can enable push notifications on the Tapestry app. Push notifications are the fastest way to be notified by your child’s setting, so enabling them is a great way to stay up to date.
The ability to receive push notifications is dependent upon the permissions that your child’s school or setting have set. So if you’re unable to perform anything within this tutorial please reach out to them directly and they’ll be able to assist.
Setting push notifications
To get started, open up the app and select the hamburger menu in the top left corner. From this menu, tap Account Settings.
Once you reach the Account Settings screen, under Notifications you will see an option titled Push notifications. Coloured text next to this option will inform you if push notifications are currently enabled or disabled. To enable push notifications, tap Push notifications. (You may need to come back to this screen later and update your Notification Preferences to ‘Immediate Email’.)
On the next screen, simply toggle the switch to enable push notifications on your account.
Please note that push notifications will replace email notifications once enabled. Make sure your preferences are set to ‘Immediate Email’ as shown in this tutorial.
Once you’ve enabled push notifications, a small banner will appear at the top of the screen to confirm this.
That’s it! You now know how to enable push notifications on the app! Next, we would recommend viewing this tutorial to learn more about setting your notification preferences.
