If your child’s school or setting use the Care Diary or Accidents & Medication Only feature then forms they add may need to be signed off by yourself. In this tutorial we’ll take a look at how to do this from the app version of Tapestry. If you’re using the browser please take a look at this tutorial instead. The types of forms that you may receive are:
- Accidents in setting
- Accidents at home
- Incidents
- Planned Medication Forms
- Administration of Planned Medication
- Administration of Unplanned Medication
This tutorial uses the Care Diary feature, but if your school or setting have instead enabled Accidents & Medication Only then any mention of ‘Care Diary’ will simply be replaced by ‘Accidents’ or ‘Accidents & Medication’. The other steps in this tutorial remain the same.
Once the accident, incident, or medication has been added and sent to you, you will receive a notification to let you know. You can click on this to take you to the entry.
You can also access all entries From the Care Diary. Ensure you are looking at the date that the entry was added for. If you have more than one child on the account you can access their entries independently from their name. We can see the accident here if requiring sign-off.
If you’d like to easily see all entries that require your action, then you can head to the Forms requiring sign-off tab at the top. Click View & sign off.
You can read through the entry, and if you’re happy click on Acknowledge & sign off.
The exact wording will differ slightly depending upon the type of form.
Add your signature and then Confirm sign-off.
If your child’s school or setting have instead requested sign-offs without a signature, then you’ll see this Confirm sign-off box without a signature option.
You’ll receive confirmation that the entry has been signed off.
Back on the Care Diary you can again see that the form has been signed, and there is no longer an entry within the Forms requiring sign-off tab.
