In this tutorial, we’ll take a closer look at how to view the account history in Tapestry and understand the audit trail it provides. Account history can be useful when you need to check what changes have been made, when they happened, and who carried them out. By the end of this guide, you’ll know where to find this information and how to use it to review activity on an account.
Only Managers will be able to access the account history from the browser version of Tapestry.
Accessing the history log
To access the history select Help → Using Tapestry → History.
Viewing history
As you can see, you’ll be presented with a list showing you exactly who has done what and when on your account, with the most recent entry first.
If you would like to narrow down your history search you can use the filter option.
This allows you to look at a specific subject or staff member. You can also search for key words. Select Apply to use the filters.
If you want to investigate a specific history item further you can use the more info button. Clicking on the blue text will also take you to that certain event or post.
There is also an option to view an individual staff member’s history from Configuration → Staff → Manage Staff → Select the Cog option → View History. The same can be done for other user types.
This displays the history items triggered by that staff member. You can then use the View Events triggered by this user option to narrow down the history.
You can also view the history of certain posts by clicking on the three dots (or cog menu) and View history.
And that’s it. If you have any questions about your account history please feel free to get in touch at customer.service@eyfs.info.
