This tutorial will show how you can find any draft Bespoke Frameworks that you have created, and also how to edit and delete/disable your Bespoke Frameworks.

If you’re looking to add your Bespoke Framework then please take a look at this tutorial to start the process.

Let’s get started!

Only users registered on Tapestry as Managers are able to manage Bespoke Frameworks from the browser.

When editing one of your Bespoke Frameworks, you first need to find your framework on Configuration > Assessments > Assessment Framework Settings.

Screenshot showing the assessment settings screen.

Next, find the saved framework you would like to amend, and click on Edit.

This screen shows you where to select edit when editing your bespoke framework.

You will be taken to a screen where you can amend the different elements of the framework.

It is important to note that if you edit an element of an enabled framework that’s already used in an observation, then this edit will reflect in the observation.

For example, changing the name of a Detail that’s been selected in an observation will rename this Detail in the observation, and deleting it will remove it from the observation.

When editing the framework, the first section is to edit the name and description of your framework. If you want to make any changes simply click into the relevant box and amend the text. If you make a change, you will see a green Edited badge next to the item you have changed.

You can also make changes to any scales that you have added. Just to recap, a Scale is what you use to assess your framework against.

If you do not currently have any Scales set up, then you can add one. If you already have a Scale, you can make changes to it by clicking on Configure Scale. You need to remember to click Save to save any of your edits.

Once an edit has been made you’ll see the Edited badge to confirm there have been changes. You can always undo the changes you made to your Scale if you’ve made a mistake or change your mind.

Next, you can then edit the Details from your framework. These are the elements that make up the bulk of your framework, such as titles, statements, objectives, etc.

These can be edited by either adding a new Detail, or by amending an existing Detail by clicking on its cog next to the Detail and then selecting the relevant action as shown below.

Make sure you do press Save to save any changes.

The green badge Edited will show to indicate that a change has been made.

To undo any changes you’ve made, click on the Undo all detail changes button.

This shows you how you can see that deatils on the bespoke framework have been edited

The final section you can edit is the Components. It is Components that tell Tapestry how each Detail should look and behave. You can add a new one, or edit or delete an existing Component.

To make a change, a popup box will appear. So again, remember to press Save Component at the bottom of the pop-up box to apply the changes. After editing, you’ll see the Edited green badge to confirm a change has been made to that Component.

Should you want to revert back to the Component’s original configuration then click on Undo.

This screen shows you how to edit components of your bespoke framework

After you have completed any changes, you can select Discard all changes if you do not want to save your changes. You can press this if you want to undo all of the changes you’ve made to the framework since last saving.

If you are happy with the changes you have made then you can select Save Assessment Framework.

If you leave the editing page at any time without saving then rest assured you won’t have lost any of your changes. However you will be warned that you are leaving the page with the warning message below.

If you click Cancel you will stay on the page where you are editing. If you select OK you will leave editing the framework but changes will be saved for you to review.

This warning message let's the user know they are leaving the screen before changes have been saved.

Back on the Assessment Frameworks page you’ll see that your bespoke framework now has edits that need to be reviewed. This means that the edits will not be reflected in current or new posts until you have reviewed and saved the changes.

This shows where you can see if there are any edits to review for your framework

And that’s it! You now know how to make changes to your Bespoke Frameworks!

Please note that once you have deleted a bespoke framework, it will not be possible to recover it, and it will be removed from your account immediately. If you have previously made observations using the framework you are deleting, the observations will remain, but the assessments will disappear.

As mentioned above, it is important to note that once you have deleted a Bespoke Framework, it will not be possible to recover it, and it will be removed from your account immediately. If you have previously made observations using the framework you are deleting, the observations will remain, but the assessments will disappear.

On the other hand, if you disable a framework, you will be able to enable it again later if you choose to. Disabling means that it will not be selectable when adding an observation.

We’ll look at how to delete a Bespoke Framework first.

Deleting a Bespoke Framework

To delete a Bespoke Framework, you will need to go to Configuration -> Assessments and click the Delete button next to the Bespoke Framework you would like to delete.

This screen show you where you can to delete a bespoke framework

You will then need to confirm you are happy to delete the framework by clicking the Delete button on the next screen.

If you would like to delete a draft Bespoke Framework, you can do so from Configuration -> Assessments  by clicking the Discard button next to the draft bespoke framework.

Disabling a Bespoke Framework

To disable a Bespoke Framework, go to Configuration -> Assessments and select Configure next to the Bespoke Framework you wish to disable.

This screen shows you where to disable a bespoke framework

You will then need to untick the Enable box and click Save to disable the Bespoke Framework.

And that’s it! You now know how to delete or disable your Bespoke Frameworks!

Tapestry automatically saves your work as you add your Bespoke Framework to Tapestry.

Your partially uploaded Bespoke Frameworks are saved as Draft Bespoke Frameworks which you can later edit and finish, or if you don’t need them, you can delete them from Tapestry.

There is also the option to manually save your work at certain points in the process, as in the example below when adding Scales.

This screen shows one of the places where you can save a bespoke framework as a draft

You can find your Draft Bespoke Frameworks under Configuration > Assessments under Assessment Frameworks.

Drafts which you haven’t given a title will be known as a Framework import, while titled Drafts will display the title. Each draft will have the date and time it was last modified to help you determine which one you were last working on.

On the Assessment Frameworks page, click on Finish import to continue importing your draft Bespoke Framework, and Discard to delete the draft framework.

It’s not possible to recover a discarded framework, so make sure you are sure before you delete it.

And that’s it! You now know how to edit and delete your bespoke frameworks and how to manage any draft Bespoke Frameworks that you have.
