In this guide we are going to cover the steps on how to retry a user’s activation email. You may need to do this for relatives or staff users on your account in the case that either their activation email has expired, or they’re unable to locate it in their mailbox.
Before you resend an activation email, let users know that the email can end up in their junk or spam folder so they’ll want to check there first just in case.

To begin you’re going to want to navigate to the relevant screen, depending on whether you are trying to resend the activation email to a relative or to a staff member.
Click Configuration on the bottom left of the screen, and head to either the Relatives or Staff tab. When the tab expands, select Manage Staff or Manage Relatives.
Manager users are able to action this as they have access to the Configuration section on Tapestry.
In this example we are going to follow the Manage Relatives page.
Once you have navigated to this screen, to locate your activating users, click the Activating tab at the top of the screen. Then, click the cog icon next to the user you’d like to resend the activation email to. You can then select Retry Activation.
Next, you are taken to a screen where you are provided with various activation options. To resend the user an activation email, select the Send Email option.
The other options you are presented with are Generate New Activation Link and Activate Manually.
Generating a new activation link will create a link you can copy and send to the relative to follow.
Activating them manually will mean you need to enter a password and PIN number for the relative. You would need to pass these details onto the user for them to login. They’d be able to change their login information by resetting their password or PIN through their account.
Users have the ability to update their PIN, password and email address through editing their preferences on their account.
If you have more than one user that needs their activation email resent, you’re able to do this in bulk.
Select the tick boxes next to the user/s in question, or if you’re wanting to send it to all activating users, click Select All.
Once the users have been selected, from the pop-up on the bottom right, choose the Retry Activation option and click Go.
You’ll be taken through to a screen where you can confirm you are wanting to send them a new email.
Choose the Send New Email option from the drop-down box for each user and then click Send Activation Emails.
