In this tutorial we’ll go through the process of switching between users and accounts on the app version of Tapestry.
Please note, these steps will be exactly the same across iOS and Android devices.
If you have limited devices at your setting and multiple staff need access to the same device, you can switch users so that staff are able to access their own user login. Head to the Switching Users tab for help with doing this.
You can also be set up across multiple Tapestry accounts using the same email address. This means you are able to switch between them on the app. Head to the Switching Accounts tab for support on how to do this.
If staff members across your setting need access to the same device, then you’ll be able to switch users so that staff are accessing their own user login.
Once the device has been logged into by a Manager or Full Staff user already, staff will be able to switch users.
How to switch users
To switch users on your account, start by tapping the hamburger icon on the top left of the app. Then, tap Switch account.
Next, tap Switch beneath your name.
You will then be presented with the option to select another user. You can either use the search bar to type in the name, or you can scroll through the list of users.
Tap your name and you’ll be given the option to enter your PIN and access your account.
If you have multiple Tapestry accounts linked with your email address, then you will be able to switch between them.
If you have the same password set for both/all accounts, then once you log in with this password you’ll have the option of which Tapestry account to view straight away. Or if you have different passwords set for each account, you’ll be prompted to login again with the correct password when you try and enter the relevant account.
How to switch between accounts
To switch which account you are on, start by tapping the hamburger icon on the top left of the app. You can then either tap Switch account or Account Settings.
If you tapped Switch accounts, then you will be taken to the PIN screen where you’ll need to tap Switch from the top right of the screen. You’ll then be presented with the accounts you are able to switch to. Tap the relevant setting to access it.
Please note, you will not see other accounts you are linked to unless you have logged into them previously on your device. In the case you are linked to more than one account and it is not showing on your list of settings, please tap Login with email and password.
Alternatively, if you tapped Account settings then you will be taken to the following screen. Just tap Switch account to be taken to the pin screen. Again, tap Switch on the top right for account switching options.
